Power supplies

NSI designs and builds high voltage power supplies capable of providing voltages in the MV range at multi-kW power levels. Our DC multiplier power supplies are used in a variety of industrial and R&D accelerator systems, including semiconductor ion implanters.

NSI high voltage power supplies provide very high stability and power efficiency. Voltage is feedback stabilized to better than 0.1% with millisecond time response using the NSI generating voltmeter. High stability is especially important in systems that rely on scanned or energy-analyzed beams. Power efficiencies of greater than 90% are achieved, meaning that the entire accelerator system runs cool.
